As the Day Center Turns
So far March is the month of our families moving and grooving onto their new adventures!
One family moved out last week into transitional housing. Another family moved out on Wednesday into her new apartment, and a third went on Wednesday for her transitional housing interview! Now THAT is a HUGE turnaround!
One mom and her little guy are just the sweetest. Listening to mom talk to her son is adorable and she says such beautiful words to him. She did have an interview this week, so please send positive vibes her way!
A mom and her son have joined the FPHCR family this week and have been settling in. So far mom is a bit reserved but as the week goes on, she seems to realize that she is in a safe and STABLE program that will support her. At the end of the day on Wednesday, mom came RUNNING into the office…she received a call that she is next on the list for an apartment! She can move in on April 1st!!
Next week on Wednesday we have another family coming in, a mother and her 3-year-old son. Even though we all know that Family Promise is a blessing for many, it is very overwhelming at first. As always, please send blessings and positive vibes the families way to support them during this time of transition.
